WHAT IS THE BRICK?

    The Brick is a piece of home and a piece of Taiwanese traditional pastry - pineapple tart/pineapple cake. It got the name from its shape. It's simply the pastry like shortbread stuffed with fruit fillings, the real fruit fillings, not just watery jam. At The Brick Boutique, we not only handmade the traditional pineapple favorite, but also some exciting flavors like cranberry and lemon.  

    ARE THE BRICKS GLUTEN-FREE?

    The traditional family recipe we follow to make the pastry contains wheat flour, so the bricks are not gluten-free. We accept the special request to make the bricks gluten-free; however, the bricks will be made in the same kitchen, which is not dedicated gluten-free facility.  

    WHAT ABOUT ALLERGIES?

    Our pastries are made with simple ingredients: fruits, wheat flour, dairy, butter, eggs, and sugar. Please check the ingredients on the product detail page before purchase.

    HOW LONG WILL MY BRICKS STAY FRESH?

    For the best result, The Bricks should be refrigerated and consumed within 5-7 days of delivery, or they can be frozen upon arrival for up to 4 weeks. The Bricks are best served at room temperature. Please allow approximately 10 minutes to reach room temperature if coming from refrigerator or 30 minutes if coming from freezer. The Bricks can be served warm like warm pie as well. Please preheat the oven at 350F and bake for 10 minutes. 

    DO YOU SELL OTHER BAKED GOODS?

    We are specialized in Taiwanese fruit tarts, aka The Bricks. However, every once in a while, we will have limited specialty items. Please follow us on social medias to stay tuned.

    WHERE TO CAN I BUY THE BRICKS?

    We are proud to be part of the local bakeries in beautiful suburb of Long Island. Currently, we don't have any retail space yet, but you can certainly purchase online. From Spring through Fall, you can find us at the farmers markets. Check out our schedule HERE

    HOW CAN I PLACE MY ORDER?

    Standard orders can be placed online via direct checkout. For special orders or events, please visit our Special Orders page, or send us a message via Contact Us page. We will be happy to assist you!

    WHEN SHOULD I PLACE MY ORDER?

    Orders placed before 12pm (EST) Monday-Thursday are processed the same day. Orders placed after 12pm (EST) will be processed the following day. Orders received after Thursday 12pm and over the weekend are processed the following Monday. 

    Please note, we do not offer Saturday delivery. To receive a delivery for the weekend with Second Day Air, orders must be placed before 12PM on Wednesday or by 12PM on Thursday with Next Day Air. 

    CAN I MODIFY OR CANCEL MY ORDER?

    You can modify or cancel the order within ONE hour since the order is placed. Please call customer service at (646)598-9018 as quickly as possible following your order to request cancellation. If it's off office hour, 6pm (EST) Monday-Friday, please send the cancellation email to info@thebrick.boutique.

    WHERE DOES THE BRICK BOUTIQUE SHIP?

    No matter which states you are in, we will deliver to you. We ship nationwide in the US via USPS.

    HOW DOES SHIPPING WORK?

    To ensure the freshest BRICKS possible, we use USPS priority shipping. Click HERE to check the delivery time zone. 

    Please note, we do not offer Saturday delivery. To receive a delivery for the weekend with Second Day Air, orders must be placed before 12PM on Wednesday or by 12PM on Thursday with Next Day Air. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and distance. 

    HOW CAN I ORDER THE BRICKS FOR SPECIAL EVENT?

    HOW FAR IN ADVANCE WILL I NEED TO PLACE A SPECIAL ORDER?

    Please give us a 2-week notice for special events and catering.
